Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I was raised in an Italian household. Both of my parents and all the generations before that were born in Italy. Some of them, like my parents, several aunts and uncles and a few of my grandparents, migrated to the United States back in the late 40′s and early 50′s.

So, from my 100% Italian heart to all of you who happen to have a lot or just a little Irish in you (such as my children) and even to those who are not Irish at all (like me):

I love this Irish blessing that I read many years ago:

May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind always be at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

and rains fall soft upon your fields.

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
