Doesn’t Spring feel like it’s taking forever to get here? In some parts of the country, it must seem like it’s still winter because the snow is still melting. Here in northern Arizona, our daytime temps hover between 50-60 but the ever-present winds make it seem much colder. No matter where we live in the U.S., I think we could all use a bit of Spring hope!
The day the Lord created hope was probably the same day he created Spring. —Bernard Williams

Today is the last Monday in April and coincidentally the last day of my Spring image selections. So on this Mishmash Monday, I present to you a mishmash of Spring flower images. Enjoy!
Is this the cutest way to announce Spring to your guests or what? On this Frugal Friday I want to share a great Spring craft I found from a link at one of my favorite frugal sites, Frugal Girls. It’s so easy to make and a sweet way to announce Spring.
The link at Frugal Girls led me to Crafty Lam, another site full of cute, easy and frugal crafts. Click here for the directions to making this great door decoration.
You scrapbookers out there probably have almost all of the materials and equipment already, but those of us who aren’t into scrapbooking can easily improvise with what we have on hand. After all, isn’t that one of the great things about the frugal life?
Here’s a mishmash of Spring images for your Mishmash Monday viewing!
This first day of Spring this year is also Treasure Tuesday around here. Because we received quite a bit of snow over the past couple of days, I think it’s even more important to celebrate the official arrival of Spring.
Here’s what it looked like here yesterday. It’s hard to see much because of the falling and wind-driven snow, but this is the view from our back patio looking to the northeast. Normally we can see the San Francisco Peaks but …ahem … all the snow coming down blocked that beautiful view.
And now from my eternally optimistic side, here are a couple of peeks at my first fresh tulips of the season. This treasure bouquet reflects my love of tulips and things pink!
I’d like to know exactly where February went. I know it’s the shortest month but really, it seemed to zoom by so fast!
Today I am thankful that the weather is beginning to feel more like spring. Let’s just say that I don’t have a very good relationship with winter. There are way too many nasty ways that the cold affects me so I am very happy it is on it’s way out. Besides, nicer (warmer) days mean more riding for Rick — and hopefully I’ll feel up to riding a lot with him too!
Here’s the Harley waiting patiently for us in the driveway. She’s such a cool and comfy ride!
